Baby Blanket Yarn

Hello I have a question that I was hoping you could help me with. I just found out that a friend of mine is pregnant and I would like to crochet a baby blanket for her. The problem is though that I have no idea what type of yarn to use for this. Do you guys have any recommendations? My only requirement is that she can wash it easily and it won't be completely destroyed.

Most of my baby blanket yarn comes from Hobby Lobby because I just can't afford the prices on some of the specialty yarns in my LYS. I've had really good luck using there Baby Bee brand of I think Sweet Delights. I've also used their regular I Love This Yarn to good results.
