Because I have an abundance of time and yarn combined with a lack of funds, everyone is getting crocheted Yule gifts this year. So far on my list to make is two pairs of fingerless gloves, a throw, and possibly a shawl (though I'm rethinking the latter). I come from a family of crafters, so I know the gifts would be appreciated.
I made this hat for my husband as he is in desperate need of ear-covering winter wear. I really, really like how it turned out:

Now I'm debating on making myself one if my hands aren't killing me by the end of the month.
Is anyone else doing handmade gifts for the winter holidays?

I'd hoped to make cushion covers as well, but a shoulder injury meant a couple of months off my schedule and I have to take it easy now.
The hat and the model's expression are very cute!

Crocheted bikinis always looked very uncomfortable and impractical to me, unless you just plan on wearing it and not swimming :P.
Do you knit or crochet socks? Trying to crochet socks is on my to-do list one day.

I kind of wish my brother was a more avid brony, so I could take advantage of that craft contest Michaels is running and the sheer enthusiasm of the brony community, but that's probably not going to happen. Maybe if I can find one of those charity tree angel things... (I give this an 8 out of 10 for gift selfishness.)
And then maybe some random snowflakes and/or characters for various friends. IDK, we'll see what kind of time I have.

I always crochet gifts of some sort or another for Yule and/or Giftmas.

There are certain relatives I don't bother with handmade stuff. They just don't get/appreciate it.

I made my brother a hat (similar style to yours), sister in law some wrist warmers and a hat, and I'm making a gnome type hat (best way to describe it) as a secret santa gift.
For someone who doesn't like hats, I am sure making an awful lot of them right now :D
