i'd like to crochet a cardigan or jacket for luluisme as my thank you b-day pressie by getting me the Knit Kimono book

sadly, the pattern she chose from Knit Kimono gets called a bathrobe by the knitters, more often than not :/

i'm more confident i'll be able to produce a crocheted bit of gorgeous

so beautiful! completely captures the whole kimono theme. however, the original request was for a full length fall jacket

i really like the matching diagonal points for front and back. and that sweet butterfly stitch!

while the flared sleeves call back the kimono theme, perhaps the very open lace work says goth? which, might just be 'cause the model's wearing wings ~heh~
